So on April 5th somehow I was hit by a train. Pretty much damage is just to my skull. And my ego. I literally "woke up" only 3 weeks ago.
I think I was walking and didn't hear it coming, but I can't remember anything.

Holy... lots of things. Yay to being alive.
I've always wondered how a person manages to get hit by a train. I mean, they're big and loud and they follow prearranged tracks. I hope it was crazy-freaky-circumstances that will probably never happen again. *hugs* without hurting anything, shar Re: Re: I'm kinda in recovery...

Who knows -- I can't remember anything.
It likely wasn't sought out on purpose, but that has to come to mind as an enabler. If you block your ears with music, anything loud can find you as well. I have both arms and legs and no real long term damage, so I'm probably lucky. At least that's what everyone's saying. Re: I'm kinda in recovery...
Andrew..
Great to hear that you're doing so well... Recovery is a long tedious process. Hang in there! Hope that you'll stay further from the tracks in the future... no need to repeat this experience! Re: I'm kinda in recovery...

Hope things are still going well for you on the recovery front :-)
I somehow aquired your various mixes a while back and they are fantastic - beatboxers has been in the car stacker for ages! Also interesting to hear your old MOD tunes - best format ever invented. Andrew Z (aka. Truck in the demoscene from .fi) let me know what had happened with the accident so I've been checking in with Fbook hoping that you were going to be ok. Lookin' forward to hearing your future projects mate. Best of luck! Re: Re: I'm kinda in recovery...
Hey cool! That's good to know that the mix is living on -- I liked that one, too. I hope to get some new mixes out sometime once I get my gear back together, including a hiphop-based one using mp3 turntables.
I am indeed recovering pretty well at the moment, and hope to be back into life (working/living) in a month or two. We'll see how the future goes but I'm being hopeful and people are generally positive. Re: Re: Re: I'm kinda in recovery...

Holy fuck, man.
I just randomly googled you because I was talking about you on IRC with someone else. You got hit by a train! My God. The most impressive thing is that you're still around to complain about having been hit by a train. By a train. Holy hell. I hope you're feeling much better now. But still. My mind is sort of blown. Dude! I just started talking with your sister like last week -- I think I found her through your Facebook profile. Feels like the mid 1990's again for me :) Especially since I living at home Parents like I used to be...
Getting hit is sure exciting though I can't remember the actual accident at all. The only confirmation is some things I said at the time and injuries to my body that are kind of in line with getting hit by tonnes of steel. Are you still in Ontario even, or did you move? |
