SomaFM independent internet radio
View Article  Mental Floss interview on PepperScott Television
I just found a copy of some video of me shot around 1999 for an early Internet video program called PepperScott Television. It's a bit dated, but an interesting take on myself at the time, what I had done, and where I was going.

MENTAL FLOSS - TORONTO INTERNET TELEVISION
View Article  New track - Blue Calx Drum'n'Bass Remix (original by Aphex Twin)
For years and years I had a jazzy drum'n'bass remix floating around in my head for Aphex Twin's beautiful ambient track Blue Calx.  When I sat down to write it one sleepless night, somehow it lost the jazzy bit. Still, it didn't turn out too shabby, though a bit ravey.  No loops used -- all sequenced from the ground up.

You can listen to the track right now using the player below, or download the entire mp3 here.

View Article  This is just a little samba, built upon a single note...
In 1991 I broke open my computer, attached two clips to the speaker conats inside and plugged the other end into my stereo. Synthesizers were prohibitively expensive at the time but I found cheap software (and a whole community of musicians and artists allong with it) that turned everyone's word processing and game machine into a creative tool.

I'm flushing this section out still, and I'm amazed at how much of my own music I seem to have lost. If you have some that aren't listed please email me

Best Foot Forward

I wouldn't want to give the wrong impression now, would I? Here's some work I'm happy to call my own.

Earthtones  [8.3megs] Hard Trance
Fun hard trance with heavy influences from stuff like DJ Misjah (Access). Apparently someone has made records of it somewhere in Iceland. If anyone has heard about this, please get in touch 'cause.. well... I'd like a copy.

Leadbelly (MF remix)
[4.3 megs] Drum'n'Bass
Sometimes I like to rock it out. When I do, I rock it out with only the finest Big Sugar

Ozone Heart
[8.2 megs] Triphop
A triphop collaboration with Phoenix of Kosmic

Jitter [6.0 megs] Hard Trance+DnB
Drum'n'trance? Following the nomenclature of most new techno genres...

Remix by David Goodale [6.3 megs] Hard Trance
This Jitter remix by David Gooddale really blew me away, especially considering he finished it only 2 days after it was released

The Return of Cornholio!!@#
[2.4 megs] Surprise!

Remix by Graham the Happy Slug [4.6 megs] Downtempo
A fun downtempo remix of Cornholio
